SRINAGAR: The Special Crime Wing Kashmir of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir has filed a chargesheet in a multi-lakh Government job fraud case against the three accused.
The chargesheet has been filed before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar in FIR No. 09/2019 under Sections 201, 419, 420, 468, 471, and 120-B of the RPC against three accused — Fayaz Ahmad Khan of Maloora Shalteng Srinagar, Showkat Ahmad Shah of Shanzipora Handwara, and Owais Ahmad Rather of Shalteng Khwaja Bagh.
It is learnt that the complaint was lodged by the resident of Pulwama allegeing that trio duped them of lakhs of rupees under the guise of securing Government jobs for their children and relatives.
In the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had issued bogus appointment letters from the Forest Department.
Moreover, the accused had collected huge sum of money in cash from the victims using the excuse of arranging “backdoor entry” into Government service.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has urged people to remain vigilant against such fraudulent schemes.
The authorities have reiterated their commitment to take stringent action against those involved in job frauds.
