‘Last chance’ for Kejriwal, team to revert to ED plea in excise policy case: Delhi HC

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Thursday has granted last opportunity to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and 20 others to revert ED’s plea before the court seeking to expunge the unwarranted remarks made against it by the trial court while discharging them in liquor policy case.

It is learnt that the High Court had sought a response from other accused in the case, including former CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on March 10.

However, only two Abhishek Boinpally and Vinod Chauhan have filed responses as of now.

The court recorded in its order that while the respondents were granted more time on March 19 to file their responses to ED’s plea, last opportunity is being granted to duo and 20 others to file their responses by April 22.

Notably, the failure to file responses by April 22 will imply their opportunity to respond to the ED’s plea will automatically get shutdown.
