Pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi resumes

REASI: Following the temporary suspension owing to huge footfall, the pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi temple atop Trikuta Hills in Reasi resumed on Sunday.

It is learnt that authorities suspended the holy pilgrimage to cave shrine due to heavy footcount at the Bhawan on Saturday.

As many as 39,000 devotees paid obeisance at the temple till Saturday afternoon.

Nearly one lakh devotees have paid obeisance to the holy shrine as of now.

After the resumption of the holy pilgrimage, the zeal and zest among the pilgrims is clearly evident.

Amid the chants of ‘Jai Mata Di’, devotees are progressing towards the holy shrine for the fulfillment of peace and fulfillment of wishes.

Pertinent to mention, the Chaitra Navratri began on March 19 and will culminate on March 27, 2026.
