Red Fort blast row: NIA raids multiple locations across J&K

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out searches across nine locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the deadly Red Fort car bomb blast case that claimed 13 lives and injured several.

It is learnt that the searches are underway at nine places in various locations of J&K including Kupwara, Baramulla, Kulgam and Srinagar districts.

The probe began following the November blast near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort, which killed at least 13 people and injured several when suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi—a medical doctor and assistant professor at Haryana’s Al Falah University—caused to explode a bomb-laden car.

As of now, NIA has arrested 11 suspects, with today’s operations aimed at destabilizing the remaining terror networks.
