NEW DELHI: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi scripted history by becoming the longest-serving head of Government in India.
In a bid to accomplish that status, PM Modi has outwitted former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar.
While surpassing the record of Pawan Kumar Chamling i.e. of 8,930 days, PM Modi has completed 8,931 days in office as Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Minister of India.
Pertinently, the historical landmark reflects decades of continuous public service and leadership.
PM Modi is the first Prime Minister born after independence who led continuous victory to his party in three Parliamentary Polls – 2014, 2019 and 2024.
In October 2024, PM Modi expressed gratitude to people of India after entering 25th year of his tenure as head of Government.
PM Modi enumerated on the challenges he faced during the days while he was serving as Gujarat Chief Minister. Recalling his past, PM Narendra Modi shared that his mother had advised him to always help and work for downtrodden and never accept a bribe.
